Job Details

  • Schedule: 4 x 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:30 PM and 6:45 PM to 7:30 AM, with weekend shifts every other week.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 0 years of experience
  • Certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS, and AWHONN fetal monitoring classes (STABLE)
  • Minimum of 3+ years of obstetric experience in labor and delivery, antepartum, and postpartum units

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience circulating in the operating room is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Transitioning mothers and babies independently
  • Managing full couplet assignments
  • Performing car seat studies
  • Responding to high-risk obstetric cases such as PPROM, placenta previa, and preeclampsia

Operational Details

  • RNs are responsible for troubleshooting equipment including fetal monitors and ventilators; there are no telemonitoring techs on-site
  • Care includes managing titratable drips such as Pitocin, insulin, and Mag
  • Charge nurses are present on all shifts
  • Staffing includes nurse aides/patient care technicians
  • In-house OB/Neonatology specialists 24/7, with anesthesia available at all times through a dedicated CRNA

Float & Coverage

  • Travelers will be assigned via a dedicated app, with the ability to float across specialty units as needed, including any facility in the region
  • Orientation includes at least 1 shift at each assigned site, covering labor, delivery, postpartum, and operating room procedures
