Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse - $3,140 per week

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Salida, Colorado. This position involves providing comprehensive care to laboring, postpartum, and neonate patients in a family birthing center. The role requires evaluating patient health, collaborating with healthcare team members, and acting as an advocate for mothers and infants throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities

• Directly provide patient care and monitor responses during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
• Promote wellness through education
• Assist with breastfeeding
• Document all events and education
• Communicate patient condition to the team
• Collaborate with nursery nurses and support physicians with procedures
• Maintain a safe, clean environment
• Assist in emergency situations
• Help staff maintain skills
• Educate patients on infant care

Requirements

• Maintain active Colorado Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NRP certification required
• ACLS certification preferred; NRP preferred
• Minimum of an Associates Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
• 0 years of experience required

Schedule

• Nights shift, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 09/28/2026

Physical demands

• Frequent standing, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds
• Specific visual acuity to monitor patient conditions
