Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse - $3,150 per week

About the role

Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a high-volume, high-risk environment. The role involves providing specialized care during delivery, supporting neonatal services, and functioning as a Baby Nurse until transfer to postpartum care. The position requires expertise in electronic fetal monitoring and managing high acuity obstetric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide postpartum and antepartum care
• Assist with high-risk deliveries
• Circulate for cesarean sections
• Perform neonatal assessments, eye and thigh care
• Manage medications such as magnesium sulfate and insulin
• Support breastfeeding and lactation
• Monitor fetal and neonatal status with electronic fetal monitoring
• Circulate during delivery and care for newborns until transfer, including eye and thigh assessments
• Administer Vitamin K injections
• Float to sister facilities supporting Mother/Baby services as required

Requirements

• Valid State License; Compact license must be in hand at submission
• Minimum 3–5 years of high-risk obstetric experience; highly preferred with 5 years or more, but candidates with at least 3 years of high-risk experience may be considered

Certifications

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate

Schedule

• Days shift
• 12-hour shifts
• Minimum 48 hours per week

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 48.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
