Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse - $2,750 per week
Job Summary
A Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) is needed for a facility in Waimea, Hawaii. The successful candidate will provide specialized care to antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, high-risk, and laboring patients, as well as care for observation and newborns in the nursery. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of work and be able to work any shift, preferably nights, with a minimum of 80 hours every two weeks.

Required Qualifications
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- STABLE
- Fetal Monitoring certification
- Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience, including couplet care
Responsibilities
- Care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and high-risk patients (e.g., PIH, placenta abruption, prolapse cord, placenta previa, VBAC, GDM, PTL, PROM)
- Manage observation and non-stress test (NST) patients
- Care for well babies, phototherapy, and special care nursery infants
- Initiate adult and neonatal intravenous (IV) therapy, perform adult and neonatal accu checks, and conduct PKU on newborns
- Provide neonatal resuscitation, APGAR scoring, bulb suctioning, and assist with circumcisions
- Support anesthesia with intrathecal or epidural administrations, monitor patient with PCA pumps, attend cesarean sections, and care for babies postpartum
- Manage IV fluids and medications, including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and insulin drips
- Maintain fetal heart rates and interpret findings, especially during labor with internal monitors and amnioinfusion procedures
- Assist physicians with external cephalic version (ECV)
Additional Information
- Experience in adult and neonatal intensive care is preferred
- Must be able to start on the set date of 06/29/2026 and adhere to all facility policies and shift requirements

Pay package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
