Travel IMCU Registered Nurse - $3,180 per week

Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Madison, WI. This healthcare provider is seeking an experienced RN to provide comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced, academic medical setting. The role involves working in both acute medicine and thoracic units, supporting patients with complex medical needs including transplant and ventilator management.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to acutely ill adult patients with multiple diagnoses and comorbidities, including trauma, post-transplant, and pulmonary cases.
• Must be skilled in telemetry interpretation, ventilator management, chest tubes, arterial lines, and other advanced procedures.

Requirements

• Certifications and Licenses: ACLS, BLS, WI RN or compact RN license.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty, with strong proficiency in vent and transplant areas.
• Telemetry test clearance required prior to start.
• Must pass a telemetry exam with a minimum score of 80%.
• The unit requires floating as needed.
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted; travel from outside the region is required.
• Submittal Requirements: Pass/Fail telemetry exam with two attempts, submission of proof of completion for a cardiac interpretation review course if needed after second failure.

Schedule

Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 48 hours per week.
