Travel IMCU Registered Nurse - $3,040 per week

About the role

Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) registered nurse position working on a float team within a healthcare facility. This urgent fill assignment lasts 16-26 weeks, providing specialized patient care in a fast-paced environment with scheduled shifts and specific clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) as a float team member
• Work 12-hour day shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Float to meet unit needs across a flexible Monday–Sunday schedule (no block schedules)
• Work 2 out of 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day/Eve

Required Qualifications

• NY license or proof of application with applied date required at submission
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification – required prior to start
• Minimum 1 year telemetry experience
• Experience with insulin drips, cardiac drips, starting IVs, and post-cardiac catheter care
• Epic electronic health record experience within the past 2 years

Schedule

• Assignment runs from 10/05/2026 to 01/24/2027
• 12-hour day shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Bi-weekly orientations scheduled on Mondays (next on 10/19)

Additional Requirements

• Complete work history details (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) required for submission
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
• Reliable transportation and all-season or snow tires during winter months strongly recommended (public transportation not accessible in this area)
• Must be willing to float to meet unit needs
