Job Summary

The Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Nurse position in Lynchburg, Virginia involves providing specialized care for a diverse patient population, including med-surg, tele, cardiac IMCU acuity level patients, neuro patients, and CVA patients. The role requires an active VA or Compact license and prior charge experience, with orientation occurring every other week on Mondays.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Active VA or Compact license upon start date.
• No minimum years of experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Charge experience and familiarity with Cerner electronic health record system.

Additional Information

• Orientation days are every other Monday.
• Assignments typically end on Saturday.
• The unit attempts to follow a two-thirds weekend schedule but may vary based on unit needs.
• Limited RTO (Request for Time Off) is available; client can cancel up to 36 hours before an assignment due to census fluctuations.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
