About the Role

The Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) registered nurse opportunity is located in Burlington, Vermont. The role involves working in a specialized unit providing care for patients requiring enhanced monitoring and post-procedural recovery. The position requires flexibility to meet the unit's operational needs and includes rotational day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) for patients requiring enhanced monitoring and post-procedural recovery.
  • Work rotational day and night 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

  • Valid licensure as a registered nurse.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
  • Experience in a large trauma level 1 teaching facility.
  • Specialized experience in Cardiology including post catheterization, STEMI, and structural heart patients.
  • Recent Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience within the past 2 years.
  • All employment gaps exceeding 90 days must be explained.
  • Comprehensive work history including bed count, facility type, and EMR details is mandatory for submission.

Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Rotating day and night shifts.
  • Schedule includes commitments from Monday to Sunday with bi-weekly orientations on Monday.
  • Start Date: 08/24/2026.
  • Duration: 16 weeks.
