About the role
Travel assignment in a high-acuity ICU setting.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and monitoring critically ill patients, recognizing subtle changes in condition
- Administering complex medications and advanced treatments
- Operating life-support and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
- Ensuring patient safety, comfort, and addressing physical and emotional needs
- Documenting patient responses and interventions accurately
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and providing patient and family education
- Maintaining proficiency in ICU procedures, adhering to infection control, and engaging in quality improvement
Requirements
- Minimum of one year recent ICU experience
- Valid RN license per state regulations
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to move and handle equipment, work effectively with diverse personnel, and perform fine motor tasks
- Mental resilience to work under pressure and irregular schedules
