MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12‑week assignment in Grand Junction, Colorado. The position involves 36 hours per week on 9‑hour night shifts, providing palliative and hospice care to terminally ill patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status and detect changes in symptoms, health, or pain, and determine when intervention is needed.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and observe subtle changes in patient health.
• Provide sympathetic care to patients and families dealing with pain, trauma, and tragedy.
• Alleviate sudden symptoms during the end‑phase of disease.
• Support relatives coping with impending loss and offer post‑mortem assistance.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 18 months of recent experience in an acute care hospice setting.
• Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility.
