Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) providing high-quality, rapid-response patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients
- Explain procedures to patients and families
- Administer treatments as ordered
- Monitor patient safety throughout the emergency department stay
- Document care accurately and thoroughly
- Respond to life-threatening situations promptly
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Qualifications & Skills
- One year of recent emergency room experience
- Valid RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient technical nursing skills
- Physical ability to assist with procedures and patient handling
- Mental resilience to work effectively under pressure
Key Duties
- Prioritize care based on acuity and urgency
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures
- Manage patient comfort and emotional support
- Monitor vital signs and recognize changes in condition
- Document comprehensive nursing assessments
- Educate patients and families about conditions and follow-up care
- Adhere to protocols to ensure optimal emergency care delivery
