About the role
The EP Lab RN plays a vital role in treating patients with cardiac conditions, assisting electrophysiologists during procedures such as ablations and device implants.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
- Educate patients and families
- Assist with electrophysiology procedures (ablations, device implants)
- Administer medications and monitor cardiac responses
- Respond to changes in patient condition
- Provide post-procedure care and ensure safe recovery
- Maintain sterile techniques and equipment
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop treatment plans
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- At least one year of recent EP lab experience
- Valid RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- PALS or ENPC certification
- RCES or RCIS certification
