Job Summary

Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Nurse providing specialized perioperative care for cardiac and vascular surgeries within a healthcare facility. This role requires expertise in cardiac scrubbing, large trauma cases, and transplant procedures, with responsibilities including assisting in complex surgeries and supporting surgical teams during high-acuity procedures.

Position Details

• Perioperative Nurse specializing in Cardiothoracic, Peripheral Vascular, and Transplant (Heart and Lung) surgeries within an operating room setting
• Shift: Evenings, 11:00 PM to 11:30 PM, 12 hours per shift
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/26/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks

Minimum Qualifications

• Nursing license with at least 2 years of strong Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing experience, including scrubbing skills in cardiac procedures
• Must have large level 1 or 2 trauma experience
• Must include scrub skills checklist in the submission packet

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with transplant procedures and level 1 or 2 trauma cases
• Demonstrated scrubbing skills specific to heart surgeries

Additional Information

• Team rotation for on-call duties, including one time per week and coverage for one weekend day in a four-week cycle
• Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in scrubbing hearts through verification of skills checklist
• Submission requires appropriate documentation of scrub skills
