Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Acute Care Job

Responsibilities

  • Organize and deliver medically prescribed occupational therapy programs to improve quality of life after injury, disease, or loss, with consideration for patient gender, age, cultural differences, and educational needs
  • Provide outpatient hands-on therapy and float coverage to inpatient acute care as part of an integrated rehabilitation plan
  • Implement treatment plans under supervision, document patient progress, and adjust interventions to maximize independence and safety
  • Educate patients and families about therapy goals, activities, and discharge planning while ensuring cultural sensitivity and patient dignity
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes

Requirements

  • Montana license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association-accredited occupational therapy assistant program
  • Experience or demonstrated ability in outpatient hands-on therapy with inpatient float in an acute care setting; modality endorsement per MT Guidelines
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills: amiable, able to exercise sound judgment, and maintain empathetic, patient-centered care
  • Ability to work the listed day shift in a hospital travel assignment and function effectively in a fast-paced environment

About the Role

Start 09/23/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,286 to $2,383 per week with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: Day shift 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Travel assignment in a hospital setting focused on outpatient hands-on therapy with inpatient float.
