Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Acute Care Job
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations and implement treatment plans in line with licensure standards and physician orders for patients in inpatient and/or outpatient settings
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop patient goals, care plans, and discharge planning; monitor progress and adjust as needed
- Educate patients and families on treatment procedures, assistive devices, home exercise programs, and health topics related to function and safety
- Schedule, coordinate, and document therapy sessions; monitor outcomes and contribute to program development and improvement
- Provide clinical supervision to Occupational Therapy Assistants in accordance with licensure and professional standards
- Identify significant changes in patient condition and communicate with the care team; maintain accurate initial assessments, progress notes, and discharge planning documentation
Requirements
- Active North Dakota Occupational Therapist license (OTR/L) prior to start
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to start
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient and/or outpatient experience
- Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient acute care settings
- Driver’s license with acceptable driving record
