The role involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients following complex cardiovascular surgeries and interventions. The position requires adaptability to float between units and work during night shifts, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient outcomes in a Level II Trauma Center environment. Job Details Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Valid Washington or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of submission). 2 years of experience. BLS, ACLS, CCRN certifications. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), charting experience with Epic, trauma level II experience, community hospital experience, prior travel experience. Float: Float rotation may be required between units. Additional Information: Must have CVICU experience. Special procedures and equipment include arterial line management, chest tube insertion/removal, ventilator management, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and ECLS management. Orientation hours: 36 hours. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services. Patients include post-open heart surgeries, vascular surgeries, post-MI patients requiring targeted temperature management and pressors, cardiogenic shock, and general ICU overflow patients with pneumonia, COVID-19, DKA, and OD. Must include response to the following with submission: Have you ever worked at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, on a travel contract, or as registry/per-diem? If yes, include location and dates worked. References: Two references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years, prior to start. Candidates may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Modules are non-billable, averaging 16 hours, and must be completed pre-start and annually. Submission considerations: Valid RN license in WA or a Compact state, documentation of RTO, and adherence to compliance deadlines.
