Travel Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse - $2,505 per week

About the role

The Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) registered nurse (RN) position is based in Rochester, Minnesota. This role involves coordinating nursing care, providing direct patient care, and supporting patient and family education within a cardiac intensive care environment. The RN will function across the continuum of care, practicing within established standards and leading quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a cardiac intensive care environment
• Coordinate nursing care and support patient and family education
• Function across the continuum of care within established standards
• Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
• Float as needed and participate in ECG exams during orientation

Schedule

• Rotating shifts, including day/night rotation (0700-1930 and 1900-0730) and straight nights (1900-0730)
• Every 3rd weekend
• 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Assignment duration: 14 weeks

Requirements

• Valid RN license applicable to the state of Minnesota
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program recognized by ACEN or CCNE
• Minimum of 6 months of recent travel nursing experience
• 2 years of recent acute care ICU nursing experience, preferably in a cardiovascular ICU
• Cardiac monitoring/telemetry skills and ability to read strips
• Must pass orientation ECG exam to continue
• COVID-19 vaccination documentation may be required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ventricular assist devices (VAD), Impella, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and balloon pumps
• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification
