Travel Cardiac Cath Lab RN - $3,550 per week

About the Role

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Cardiac Cath Lab in Peoria, Illinois. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab), managing patients undergoing cardiac procedures such as STEMI, NSTEMI, and other interventions. The role emphasizes reading strips and titrating drips as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including STEMI, NSTEMI, and other cardiovascular interventions.
• Read strips and titrate drips as required.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, potentially floating to other areas as needed.
• Participate in call shifts, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Illinois nursing license or confirmation of application in process.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association).
• Minimum of 2 years of related nursing experience.
• Ability to read strips and titrate drips.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EPIC).
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology.
• Previous experience with GE, Philips monitors, or McKesson systems.
• Knowledge of emergent cardiac care procedures.

Schedule

• 10-hour day shifts with call requirements.
• Minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Call shifts include 6-8 weeknights or backup calls per month and full weekend calls every 6-7 weeks (Friday 5:30 pm to Monday 6:00 am).
• Holiday call participation expected.

Additional Information

• Local rate applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles.

Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
