Travel Cardiac Cath Lab RN - $3,550 per week

About the role

A Cardiovascular Critical Care (CCL) Registered Nurse (RN) is needed for a position in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) located within a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, congenital, TAVR, MITRACLIP, and peripheral interventions. The RN will work a day shift with scheduled on-call and weekend responsibilities, supporting emergent and routine cardiac cases.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and titrate medication infusions
• Assess patient status
• Assist during cardiac catheterizations
• Coordinate with cardiology team
• Provide patient care in the Cath Lab department, focusing on post-procedure monitoring, prep, and assisting with interventional cardiology procedures

Requirements

• Active Illinois license or confirmation of application process
• BLS (American Heart Association certification)
• ACLS (American Heart Association certification)
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Ability to read strips and titrate drips
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
• Ability to handle emergent cases
• Strong patient assessment skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience sharing in IR (Interventional Radiology) procedures
• Ability to work on a floating basis if needed

Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS

Schedule

10-hour days with on-call requirements, totaling a minimum of 40 hours per week.
