About the role

The Registered Behavior Technician will provide behavioral support services to students with autism and other developmental disabilities in a school setting. The position involves implementing behavior intervention plans, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with teachers and parents.

Responsibilities

• Implementing behavior intervention plans
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions as necessary
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Providing positive reinforcement and teaching social skills
• Assisting with daily routines and activities
• Documenting observations and progress reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, or related field
• Current California State license as a Behavior Technician (if required by the school district)
• Experience working with individuals with autism and/or developmental disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for travel assignments)

Qualifications
