About the role

The School Behavior Intervention Specialist will provide behavior intervention services to students in a K-12 school setting. This position requires a strong understanding of behavior analysis principles and the ability to implement evidence-based interventions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on data-driven decision making
• Provide direct behavioral interventions to students, including functional assessments and behavior interventions
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement comprehensive behavior support plans
• Conduct progress monitoring and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, or related field
• Valid California teaching credential or equivalent certification
• Experience working with children with emotional and behavioral challenges
• Knowledge of behavior analysis principles and techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, or related field preferred
• Experience with data collection and analysis
• Experience with implementing evidence-based interventions

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
