About the role
As Travel Agent Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting with aspects of business travel arrangements for corporate clients. Your primary duties will involve coordinating flights, accommodations, transportation, and other travel-related services to ensure the smooth and efficient travel of corporate employees.
Responsibilities
- Research and book flights, hotels, rental cars, and other transportation as per travel requirements.
- Utilize Amadeus GDS online booking systems and negotiate rates with travel suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on travel options, itineraries, visa requirements, travel restrictions, and other pertinent information.
- Ensure compliance with company travel policies and procedures.
- Coordinate travel logistics including scheduling, ticketing, itinerary preparation, and timely confirmation of reservations.
- Handle changes or cancellations to travel plans and respond promptly to travel-related emergencies or disruptions.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring high client satisfaction.
- Assist with expense management by accurately recording and tracking travel expenses, processing invoices, and reconciling travel-related transactions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel trends, industry developments, regulations, destinations, airlines, hotels, and related services.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in corporate travel management or a similar role.
- Proficiency in the Amadeus GDS travel platform.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and vendors.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Knowledge of travel regulations, visa requirements, and international travel procedures.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours and accommodate last-minute travel requests.
