Job Summary
This role involves leading surgical teams in high-stakes environments to perform complex procedures and stabilize life-threatening injuries. You will diagnose and treat a wide range of traumatic conditions with precision and calm under pressure, using the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex procedures to stabilize and repair life-threatening injuries
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of traumatic conditions, including blunt force trauma and penetrating injuries
- Lead surgical teams in high-stakes environments
- Join a group of 7 Trauma Surgeons at a Level I Trauma center with ICU rotation
- See post-op patients three ½ days per month, with General Surgeons seeing new patients
- Projected Volumes: Census is 40-80 depending on time of year
- Offer outpatient care for post-op patients and inpatient care for Level I Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, and ICU
- Receive primary call, back-up call, and ICU rotation, plus three ½ clinic days per month
- Perform procedures in Acute Care Surgery and Level I Trauma surgical care
- Rotate call with all Trauma surgeons
Requirements
- MD or DO Degree
- ACGME Residency training
- Fellowship in Trauma/Surgical Critical Care
- ABMS Board Eligible of Certified
- Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
