Trauma Program Nurse Manager

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative, operational, and quality oversight of the hospital's trauma program.
• Collaborates with the Trauma Medical Director to ensure compliance with American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ACS COT) standards, state trauma regulations, and organizational policies.

• Collaborates with the Trauma Medical Director to ensure compliance with American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ACS COT) standards, state trauma regulations, and organizational policies.
• Oversees trauma program performance improvement, registry oversight, outreach coordination, and preparation for ACS verification and state designation.
• Oversights PI coordinators, registrars, and Injury Prevention Coordinator.
• Closely collaborates with Emergency Services, Surgical Services, ICU, ancillary departments, and hospital leadership.

Requirements

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• PREFERRED: Master's degree in Nursing or related healthcare focus.
• Trauma clinical experience (ED or ICU preferred).
• Trauma program management, trauma leadership, or quality management experience.
• FIVE years clinical experience in Emergency or Trauma nursing.
• Working knowledge of quality improvement and Joint Commission standards.
• Knowledge of ACS COT standards and trauma PIPS processes.
• Knowledge of Florida Department of Health Trauma Standards.
• Required: Registered Nurse licensed in Florida; American Heart Association BLS and ACLS; TNCC.
• PREFERRED: PALS and ENPC.
