About the role

The Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator, under the supervision of the Trauma Program Manager (TPM), provides coordination and facilitation of performance improvement data collection, analysis, trending and benchmarking of data and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, consultants and multidisciplinary trauma team members to assure quality patient outcomes across the continuum of care.
  • Collaborates closely with Trauma Program leadership to assure compliance with Trauma standards and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Level of Education: Minimum: AA Degree in Nursing
    Preferred: BSN

  • Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Minimum: Current Registered Nurse in California
    American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified.
    American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC) certified.
    American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).

  • PREFERRED: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) certified.

  • Technical Requirements: Minimum: Clinical expertise in the practice of trauma nursing.
    Years Of Related Work Experience: Minimum: 2 years of experience in trauma nursing, including experience in quality assurance.
    PREFERRED: 5 years of experience in trauma nursing, teaching, and quality assurance.

Pay for non-physician positions is determined based on related years of experience and internal equity. Eligible employees may also receive additional forms of compensation, including shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable.
