Responsibilities
- In conjunction with the Trauma Medical Director, organize services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to providing care to injured patients.
- Manage, promote, evaluate, and direct the day-to-day operations of the Trauma Program.
- Provide direction for patient care across the continuum in collaboration with trauma team physicians, sub-specialists, nursing, and ancillary services.
- Promote optimal trauma care through clinical activities, professional and public education, administrative functions, and quality improvement activities.
- Oversee the Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Program, Trauma Registry, and Community Injury Prevention Programs.
- Work in conjunction with outside agencies including EMS and other regulatory agencies to function as a stabilizing force in multidisciplinary trauma care.
- Establish and maintain a communication system with all departments and individuals involved in the care of trauma patients, from pre-hospital care through discharge or transfer.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Current licensure by the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) or ENPC certificates upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- TNCC certification required.
- Minimum of three years in emergency nursing and in the care of trauma patients.

Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $35.35 to $53.58 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
