About the role
The Trauma Coordinator RN at St. Luke's Sugar Land Hospital will directly support Trauma Services and enhance patient care. The role involves overseeing the Outreach and Injury Prevention Program, coordinating the entire trauma program for Level III centers, and conducting monthly meetings with Trauma Service Committees.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains the Trauma Injury Registry.
- Develops and implements the policies and procedures for the Trauma Service.
- Develops and implements a trauma education program for all individuals involved in trauma care at CHI St Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital.
- Develops and implements the Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Program for the Trauma Service.
- Conducts monthly meetings with the Trauma Service Committees.
- Acts as a liaison for CHI St Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital with the community and regional EMS providers.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse and Three (3) years of experience in specific program area, upon hire.
- Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire.
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 - months.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, program management, and communication skills.
- A deep commitment to trauma care improvement, patient safety, and meeting ACS verification standards.

- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
