About the Role
Provide specialized care to obstetrical trauma patients following established policies and protocols. Respond promptly to trauma activations 24/7, assist in patient care throughout hospital areas (Trauma Resuscitation bay, Radiology, OR, PACU, ICU), and collaborate with trauma leadership to ensure quality care. Identify and address Performance Improvement opportunities with action plans, working alongside trauma surgical staff, program director, and medical director.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized nursing care to obstetrical trauma patients in accordance with hospital policies and protocols.
- Respond immediately to trauma activations at any time of day or night.
- Assist in patient care across multiple hospital areas, including Trauma Resuscitation bay, Radiology, OR, PACU, and ICU.
- Collaborate with trauma leadership to maintain and improve the quality of patient care.
- Identify Performance Improvement opportunities and develop action plans in coordination with trauma surgical staff, program director, and medical director.
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (must be obtained within specified timeframe).
- Ability to respond quickly to trauma activations and coordinate care efficiently.
