About the role

Trattoria’s Servers provide friendly, prompt, knowledgeable, upscale service consistently to guests. Must possess the willingness to provide friendly service support to fellow servers while still maintaining precise and coordinated team responsibilities with the other back of house team members.

Responsibilities

• Order taking, including upselling current promotional items or items suggested by management team
• Delivery
• Customer service
• Organization and cleanliness of the restaurant both the front and back of the house
• Replenish the dining room items (e.g., salt/pepper, ketchup, etc.)
• Work in a team atmosphere; may be required to bus tables on occasion and clean up in other areas
• Understand and execute Family Style Service at all times with all guests and team members

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, polite, neat appearance
• Committed to 100% customer service
• Able to operate a point of sales device, computer literate, possess required math skills
• Able to work rotational shifts including weekends and holidays
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs many times throughout a shift
• Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, physical stamina, enthusiasm, courtesy, sincerity, initiative and persistence
• One year in a food service or retail based position, preferably in Food & Beverage working directly with customers
• Able to stand/walk/sit for extended periods
• May be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment
• Able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing
• Able to pass a background investigation
• Subject to pre‑employment drug screening
• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively
• Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period
• Ability to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period
• Ability to work in a smoking and pet‑friendly environment
