Transporter, Part Time Evening Shift, Internal Transporters

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Transporter for our Internal Transport Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from locations in the hospital.
• Performs other duties such as organizing and distributing schedules, maintaining transportation supplies, assisting on the nursing units when available.
• Prioritizes and reports observed changes in patient condition or behavior to RN.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to listen and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Skills in talking to others to effectively convey information.
• Experience in clinical care setting preferred.

Schedule

• Part-time, 24 hours per week.
• Typical daily schedule: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM.
• Shift type: Evening, with every other weekend required.
• Shift differential eligible.

Pay

Pay range: $18.00 - $22.79 per hour.
