Transporter, Evening Shift, Internal Transporters

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Transporter for our Internal Transport Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from locations in the hospital.
• Organizes and distributes schedules.
• Maintains transportation supplies.
• Assists on the nursing units when available.
• Prioritizes tasks and reports observed changes in patient condition or behavior to RN.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to listen and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Skills in talking to others to effectively convey information.
• Experience in clinical care setting preferred.

Schedule

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week
• Typical Daily Schedule: 2:45pm-10:45pm, Monday through Friday
• Shift Type: Evening
• Holiday Requirements: Follow company holiday calendar
• Shift Differential Eligible: Yes

Pay

Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.79

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as Non-Exempt.
