About the Role

Join our Purchasing & Receiving team as a Transporter II, supporting the Crystal Mountain Food & Beverage Department. This seasonal position works closely with the Purchasing & Receiving Manager, Venue Managers, Outlet Chefs, Executive Sous Chefs, and Food & Beverage Director. A Transporter II should be comfortably ski or snowboard between venues.

Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving, inspecting, returning, unloading, shelving, packing, labeling, delivering, and maintaining perpetual inventory of forms, kitchen supplies, and equipment.
  • Rotate stock and arrange for disposal of surpluses following F.I.F.O. (First In, First Out) principles.
  • Coordinate moving and transfers of stock between all Food & Beverage venues.
  • Ensure proper delivery techniques for all ordered products through cross-referencing.
  • Maintain a clean environment; perform cleaning duties as required or assigned.
  • Complete special projects assigned by management.
  • Operate and maintain snow cats/food hauls, including checking fluids and refueling mountain vehicles.
  • Work safely around machinery during day and night shifts.
  • Adhere to all safety and food storage policies, including Washington State Health & Liquor Department regulations.
  • Maintain a positive, harmonious, and cooperative work environment for staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Assist with monthly inventory counts as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Food & Beverage.
  • Strong food safety knowledge and ability to promote food handling guidelines as dictated by Washington State law.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
  • Valid Washington State Food Handlers card.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. safely and maneuver up to 160 lbs.
  • Reliable means of communication with the Manager while on duty.
  • Intermediate or better ski/snowboard skills.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays during the operational season.
  • Physical ability to perform essential job functions, including occasional sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, or bending.
  • May require lifting 50+ lbs. and maneuvering up to 160 lbs.
  • Ability to ski/snowboard from upper mountain lodges after hours in darkness, sometimes in hazardous conditions, while ensuring personal and team safety.
  • Steadfastness to work long, laborious hours in varying and demanding weather conditions.

Pay

$24 - $26 per hour.
