Transporter

Responsibilities

• Receives and carries out transport assignments
• Codifies selection of instruments, supplies, or equipment with end users
• Transports equipment to and from all locations within the building in a timely manner
• Inspects transport equipment for cleanliness, operational ability, and safety
• Removes damaged equipment from use and notifies management
• Inspects and wipes down equipment before and after each use with approved cleaning products
• Aids dental/medical staff in lifting and moving of equipment to and from, and using proper body mechanics
• Safely handles oxygen equipment and other dental/medical equipment according to school policies and procedures
• Distinguishes between types of compressed gases and valves changes
• Performs rounds including picking up freight deliveries, patient belongings, vouchers, charts, equipment, instrument and trays, as assigned
• Delivers and returns equipment, instruments and trays to/from Central Processing and patient care areas
• Fulfills school patient identification policy at all times

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma/GED equivalent is required
• Some previous experience in customer service is desirable

Education/Experience

• Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal) is required
• Strong attention to details is required
• Effectively manage and organize daily tasks, independently and with a team, while balancing multiple projects and meeting deadlines is required
• Accuracy and productivity in completing tasks are required
• Customer service and team orientated are required
• Demonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, and colleagues are required
• Experience in dental instrumentation and equipment is desirable

Working Conditions

• Pushing case cart with instrumentation weighing up to 200 lbs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Salary Information

Minimum Salary: USD $46,697.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary: USD $58,373.00/Yr.
