Transporter
About the Role
The Radiology Transporter transports patients to and from the Radiology Department. This role also performs clerical duties such as answering telephones, greeting patients, and preparing requisitions for outpatients. The Radiology Transport/Aide should demonstrate adequate knowledge of the usual terminology of tests ordered in Radiology, good telephone etiquette, and the ability to greet patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner.
Responsibilities
- Transport patients to and from the Radiology Department
- Perform darkroom duties
- Order supplies and stock inventory
- Dress patients
- Perform front office duties
- File patient reports
- Retrieve patient records for physicians or medical records
- Provide clerical support utilizing telephone, computer, office equipment, and PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System)
- Run errands throughout the facility
Qualifications
- BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current throughout employment
- High School diploma or Equivalent (required for all new hires starting April 2014)
- Transportation experience preferred

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $17.05 to $23.48. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.

Variable Part Time, Evening shifts
