Overview

Department: Medical Transport
Schedule: Variable both days and evenings full time
Facility: Resurrection Medical Center
Location: 7435 W Talcott Ave, Chicago, IL 60631

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from the Radiology Department
• Performs darkroom duties, orders supplies, stocks, dresses patients, and performs front office duties
• Performs clerical duties such as answering telephones, greeting patients, and preparing requisitions for outpatients
• Files patient reports and retrieves patient records for physicians or medical records
• Demonstrates adequate knowledge of the usual terminology of tests ordered in Radiology
• Demonstrates good telephone etiquette and greets patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner
• Provides clerical support by utilizing telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System), and by running errands throughout the facility

Qualifications

• BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current throughout employment
• High School diploma or Equivalent (required for all new hires starting April 2014)
• Transportation experience preferred

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $17.05 to $23.48. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
