What You Will Do

• Demonstrate skills and knowledge necessary to assure assessment, and care are appropriate to the age of patients served.
• Care provided is appropriate for all patients including neonates, pediatrics, adults, or geriatrics.
• Transport patients, equipment, and/or supplies to and from various departments in the hospital.
• Utilize several modes of transportation and handle various types of patient equipment.
• Promote patient safety and a safe environment at all times.
• Perform other job-related duties within the job scope as requested by the supervisor or a dispatcher.
• Maintain open lines of communication at all times.
• Maintain documentation of all transportation activities and submit to Dispatcher at end of shift.
• Ensure Equipment storage areas are kept neat and orderly.
• Assist in equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED
• Good verbal communication skills
• BLS (Basic Life Support) card from the American Heart Association (prior to hire)
