About the role

The Transporter at Centinela Hospital Medical Center performs transportation of patients throughout the hospital. Other duties include darkroom duties, ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients, equipment movement, and front office tasks.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients throughout the hospital
• Performs darkroom duties
• Orders and stocks supplies
• Dresses patients
• Moves equipment
• Handles front office tasks
• Provides clerical support by answering phones, greeting patients, preparing requisitions, filing patient reports, and retrieving patient records
• Uses telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS, and runs errands throughout the facility

Requirements

• BCLS upon hire and must maintain current throughout employment
• Transportation experience preferred

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Training:

• Must have BCLS upon hire and maintain current throughout employment
• Transportation experience preferred

Skills

Knowledge of medical terminology used in Radiology, good telephone etiquette, ability to greet patients and visitors politely and friendly, maneuvering through hospital areas and outside storage areas, using telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS, and running errands.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
