Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Supervise drivers and dispatch staff and provide coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee daily transportation operations, scheduling, and route coverage.
  • Coverage driver absences and service disruptions.
  • Maintain service quality, on-time performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and customer complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with FTA, ODOT, ADA, and agency policies.
  • Coverage required training and FTA drug and alcohol testing for safety-sensitive employees.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Department for vehicle availability and report maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain operational records and assist with required reporting.
  • Promote a safe, professional, and customer-focused work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

  • This position includes both office and field work and may require occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, or after-hours response to operational issues.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Three years of transportation, dispatch, logistics, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • A valid Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation scheduling software preferred.
