Main Responsibilities
- Communicating to the work force ways to promote a safe work environment.
- Implement cost-saving measures through working closely with drivers’ dispatchers and software vendors.
- Managing equipment and manpower requirements for daily operational needs.
- Making sure employees follow daily work assignments and leading safety initiatives for the department.
We Are Looking For Candidates Who Possess The Following
- A 2-year college degree, Bachelors preferred or 2 to 5 years of proven supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of Department of Transportation laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of HOS and Dispatching routing systems, MOBI and Prospero experience are a plus.
- Familiar with a union work environment and time and attendance procedures and requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Possess transportation experience including loading of trailers and store delivery procedures.
- Experience driving diesel-powered tractors and a current CDL is helpful.
