Transportation Supervisor - Dispatch

Main Responsibilities

  • Communicating to the work force ways to promote a safe work environment.
  • Implement cost-saving measures through working closely with drivers’ dispatchers and software vendors.
  • Managing equipment and manpower requirements for daily operational needs.
  • Making sure employees follow daily work assignments and leading safety initiatives for the department.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who Possess The Following

  • A 2-year college degree, Bachelors preferred or 2 to 5 years of proven supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Department of Transportation laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of HOS and Dispatching routing systems, MOBI and Prospero experience are a plus.
  • Familiar with a union work environment and time and attendance procedures and requirements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Possess transportation experience including loading of trailers and store delivery procedures.
  • Experience driving diesel-powered tractors and a current CDL is helpful.
