Transportation Supervisor

Accountabilities

• Captures and supervises the activities of drivers to ensure productivity of both drivers and equipment.
• Maintains a system to educate and train professional drivers on safety, hours of service, customer satisfaction (on-time service), productivity, and compliance with company policy and procedures.
• Maintains constant communication with drivers through various communication devices, focusing on driver utilization and retention.
• Reviews load assignments made by customer service to determine their obtainability.
• Participates in hiring, onboarding, orientation, training, and coaching of delivery drivers.
• Coordinates to ensure scheduled maintenance of vehicles occurs on a timely basis, conducts pre and post inspections, and conducts road tests on all driver candidates in the hiring process.
• Answers ETAs for sales team and ensures proper driver audits are performed and maintained in accordance with DOT requirements.
• Coaches drivers - reviews Lytx points.

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Experience with routing and driver scheduling.
• Experience with Omnitracs Routing System is a plus.
• Proficient computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and execute at a high level.
• Food delivery industry experience preferred.
• Available to work weekends.
