Transportation Services Representative 1
for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections if posting has real specific content. We need to parse the posting. Key info: - Initial Posting Date, Application Deadline: metadata, can be folded into short
or drop. Probably include as a short paragraph. - Agency: Department of Transportation - Salary Range $3,952 - $5,458 (monthly non-PERS). Also note PERS increase 6.95% if applicable. So we have Pay info. - Position Type Employee - Position Title Transportation Services Representative 1 (but we must not repeat job title as heading; page already shows it, so we don't output heading for title.) - Job Description: includes role description. - The Role: paragraph about assisting public, etc. - A Day In The Life: list of duties (bulleted sentences). Could be responsibilities. - What’s In It For You: benefits: work/life balance, 11 paid holidays a year, flexible work schedules, paid leave, etc. Also mention comprehensive and equitable base salary offer within listed range, equal pay assessment, PERS increase, Public Service Loan Forgiveness opportunity, etc. So Benefits section. - Minimum Qualifications: list. - What We’d Like To See: preferred qualifications/skills. - Additional Information: includes visa sponsorship, I-9, etc. Some of that is boilerplate; we should remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. Also remove "How To Apply" etc. Also remove EEO statement? The instruction says remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate. So we should drop the EEO paragraph. Also drop "Additional Information" that includes legal stuff like I-9, E-Verify, etc. But we need to preserve substantive information; those are legal boilerplate, likely to be removed. However some parts like "We do not offer visa sponsorship." Might be considered boilerplate? It's a substantive condition but maybe considered legal. The instruction says remove EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate. Visa sponsorship is not EEO but could be considered legal. Might be safe to keep? The instruction: "Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions." So legal boilerplate includes visa sponsorship, I-9, E-Verify, background checks, union representation, etc. Those are legal. So we should remove them. Also remove "How To Apply" etc. Thus we keep: - Short metadata paragraph (Posting date, deadline, agency, position type maybe). Could be a
. - About the role: maybe combine "The Role" paragraph. - Responsibilities: from "A Day In The Life" list. - Requirements: Minimum Qualifications. - Qualifications/Skills: "What We’d Like To See" (preferred qualifications). - Benefits: "What’s In It For You" plus maybe mention of salary range? Actually Pay section separate: we have Salary Range. So Pay section. - Schedule: maybe mention irregular schedule, standing, etc. Could be part of Responsibilities? But we could create Schedule section if posting states schedule specifics: "May require standing for extended periods of time, working in inclement weather, working an irregular schedule and lifting up to 40 pounds." That's schedule/working conditions. Could be placed under Schedule. - Also note "The majority of the work performed by the person in this position will be performed in the Eastern Oregon Border Economic Region." Could be location info; maybe not needed. We must not invent or summarize away detail. Must preserve all substantive information. So we need to include all details from those sections. Let's extract details: Metadata: - Initial Posting Date 09/24/2026 - Application Deadline 10/08/2026 - Agency Department of Transportation - Salary Range $3,952 - $5,458 (monthly non-PERS) - Position Type Employee - Position Title Transportation Services Representative 1 (but not heading) - Location: Eastern Oregon Border Economic Region (Ontario, Malheur County). Also mention preference for Malheur County resident: 5% preference, must maintain residency for five years. We should include that location and residency preference as part of About the role or a separate section? Could be part of About the role. Now "The Role" paragraph: "Bring your customer service skills to the Ontario DMV as a transportation services representative. In this role, you will assist the public with obtaining a driver license, registering vehicles and issuing permits and license plates. In addition, you will administer knowledge and vision tests to potential drivers, ensure correct fees are collected, provide information about regulations and policies and administer behind-the-wheel drive tests. We provide the training you need to make decisions using vehicle laws, agency policies and regulations." That's substantive. "A Day In The Life" list (converted to bullet list): - Help the public register vehicles and apply for permits. - Provide exceptional customer service while following privacy laws. - Communicate clearly with customers from diverse backgrounds to accurately answer complex questions in a way that is easily understood. - Produce photo licenses, instruction permits and identification cards. - Administer, correct and explain driver license tests. - Conduct and interpret results of driver vision tests. - Perform physical examinations of vehicles and verify vehicle identification numbers. - Prepare daily bank deposits and account for sensitive inventory. - Occasionally perform relief work in other DMV offices within the region. - May require standing for extended periods of time, working in inclement weather, working an irregular schedule and lifting up to 40 pounds. - Must be able to type at least 30 words per minute with a high level of accuracy. Note: The last two items are more about requirements/working conditions; but we can keep them in Responsibilities or Schedule. Now Minimum Qualifications: - Two years of public contact/customer service experience which involved dealing with the public in person or by phone providing information about services/programs or explaining and/or applying rules, regulations and procedures; - Experience or training using computers to retrieve and input data; - Three months experience collecting money and making change. - Completion of an associate’s degree will substitute for one year of the public contact experience. - Special qualifications: Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid US driver license and an acceptable driving record. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to be considered. Now "What We’d Like To See" (preferred qualifications/skills): - Experience working in a fast-paced environment and dealing with stressful situations. - Demonstrated computer literacy skills and reading comprehension skills. - Experience working with customers face to face and providing excellent customer service. - Experience handling multiple assignments and frequent interruptions. - Experience effectively interpreting and communicating complex rules and policies to customers or clients. Now Benefits section from "What’s In It For You": - Work/life balance - 11 paid holidays a year - Flexible work schedules - Paid leave and so much more. - Learn more about working at the Oregon Department of Transportation and the benefits we offer. - Comprehensive and equitable base salary offer within the listed range. - Through an equal pay assessment, we will determine the salary offer using the information you provide in your submitted application materials. - Please ensure your application materials are detailed, accurate and reflect your skills, experience (paid and unpaid) and education as they relate to the position when applying. - The salary range listed is the non-PERS monthly salary range. If you are already a participating PERS member or once you become PERS eligible, the salary range will increase by 6.95%. - Public Service Loan Forgiveness opportunity! - Want to know about new job postings? Subscribe to receive weekly email notifications! But some of that is boilerplate (like "Learn more about working at...") but it's still substantive about benefits. We'll keep the list. Pay section: Salary Range $3,952 - $5,458 (non-PERS monthly). Also note PERS increase 6.95% if applicable. Schedule section: Could include "May require standing for extended periods of time, working in inclement weather, working an irregular schedule and lifting up to 40 pounds." Also maybe mention irregular schedule. We also have location info: "The majority of the work performed by the person in this position will be performed in the Eastern Oregon Border Economic Region." and Malheur County residency preference. We could include location in About the role or a separate section like "Location". But we only have headings for predefined list; we could add a
for location. We must not repeat job title as heading. We must not include Job ID/requisition numbers. We must not include application instructions, How To Apply, etc. We must not include EEO boilerplate. We must not include legal boilerplate like visa sponsorship, I-9, E-Verify, background checks, union representation, etc. Those are in Additional Information; we should drop them. Thus final HTML:
