Job Description

As a Transportation Security Officer: Unarmed Patrol Customer Relations in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to travelers, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment.

Requirements

• 18+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and other stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate airport operations and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random vehicle and foot patrols throughout assigned airport facilities, public areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas, reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and unusual conditions according to site procedures.
• Complete required reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
