About the role

The Department of Mental Health is looking for someone to join our team as a full-time grant program administrator for the department's projects under Vermont's Rural Health Transformation Program, a multi-year federally funded cooperative agreement. The main purpose of the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Program is to support rural communities to improve healthcare access, quality, and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and management of the RHT Program
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to enhance healthcare services in rural areas
  • Manage project budgets and ensure compliance with federal funding requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local health providers and community organizations
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of the program's impact
  • Prepare reports and present findings to senior management and funding agencies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare administration or rural health programs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of federal healthcare regulations and policies
  • Experience with grant writing and proposal development
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting

Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

$60,000 - $70,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
