About the role
The Department of Mental Health is looking for someone to join our team as a full-time grant program administrator for the department's projects under Vermont's Rural Health Transformation Program, a multi-year federally funded cooperative agreement. The main purpose of the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Program is to support rural communities to improve healthcare access, quality, and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and management of the RHT Program
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to enhance healthcare services in rural areas
- Manage project budgets and ensure compliance with federal funding requirements
- Develop and maintain relationships with local health providers and community organizations
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of the program's impact
- Prepare reports and present findings to senior management and funding agencies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare administration or rural health programs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of federal healthcare regulations and policies
- Experience with grant writing and proposal development
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

$60,000 - $70,000 annually
