About the role
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven business development leader for the transportation sector. This role requires a highly networked, forward-thinking professional who can expand our presence and maintain strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Drive strategic transportation initiatives across company offices to advance consistent practices, innovation, and delivery.
- Cultivate meaningful connections with transportation agencies that build professional relationships and advance organizational goals.
- Lead projects by setting priorities, developing objectives, and overseeing the financial performance to deliver high-impact transportation solutions that shape communities.
- Serve as a key technical transportation resource for multi-disciplined teams, providing insights and leadership.
- Engage in problem-solving and improvement by staying involved in the design process while maintaining relatable billable hour responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience developing and managing a technical market or business development, along with selling transportation services to DOT’s, or architectural and municipal clients.
- Success in business development planning, including developing strategic business plans, marketing activities, client development, presentation experience, and proposal development.
- Established DOT relationships strongly preferred.
- Technical project management experience is desired.
- PE license.
- Proven leadership experience is highly preferred.
Qualifications
- Experience in the AEC industry.
- Strong communication and networking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of transportation industry standards and regulations.
- Experience with proposal development and client relations.
