About the role

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven business development leader for the transportation sector. This role requires a highly networked, forward-thinking professional who can expand our presence and maintain strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic transportation initiatives across company offices to advance consistent practices, innovation, and delivery.
  • Cultivate meaningful connections with transportation agencies that build professional relationships and advance organizational goals.
  • Lead projects by setting priorities, developing objectives, and overseeing the financial performance to deliver high-impact transportation solutions that shape communities.
  • Serve as a key technical transportation resource for multi-disciplined teams, providing insights and leadership.
  • Engage in problem-solving and improvement by staying involved in the design process while maintaining relatable billable hour responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience developing and managing a technical market or business development, along with selling transportation services to DOT’s, or architectural and municipal clients.
  • Success in business development planning, including developing strategic business plans, marketing activities, client development, presentation experience, and proposal development.
  • Established DOT relationships strongly preferred.
  • Technical project management experience is desired.
  • PE license.
  • Proven leadership experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the AEC industry.
  • Strong communication and networking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of transportation industry standards and regulations.
  • Experience with proposal development and client relations.
