Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain transportation network strategies, optimize transportation flows, evaluate cross-dock footprint and service areas, and build routing and consolidation strategies to improve scalability and performance.
- Create short- and long-term capacity plans, identify constraints, and model transportation scenarios to support growth and customer expansion.
- Analyze transportation costs, shipment flows, and performance trends; develop business cases and recommendations that support executive decision-making.
- Define and maintain transportation planning parameters within Manhattan Active TM, establish planning standards, and partner with IT and Continuous Improvement to enhance planning capabilities.
- Collaborate with transportation, supply chain, IT, continuous improvement, and operations teams to support scalable and efficient network performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in transportation planning, network design, or supply chain strategy.
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems, preferably Manhattan Active TM.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Experience designing and optimizing retail consolidation transportation networks.
- Experience supporting supplier-to-retailer distribution networks, including cross-dock operations and final delivery to retailer distribution centers.
- Experience with multi-origin, multi-stop transportation planning, freight consolidation, and load optimization.
- Experience developing network optimization business cases, capacity models, and transportation cost analyses.
- Experience in brokerage, managed transportation, retail transportation management, greenfield operations, or large-scale transportation transformations.
Work Environment
- Up to 25% of travel may be required.
- Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
- The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
Pay
The base range for this position in the posted location is $95,000.00 - $130,900.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, and PTO benefits.
