About the role

The Transportation Hydraulics Senior Engineer/Project Manager is responsible for providing leadership support in project delivery, business development, and growth of HDR’s Transportation Hydraulics Group in the state of Ohio. This position serves as Project Manager/Hydraulics Lead on key projects, promoting HDR through active engagement in professional organizations to increase industry visibility throughout the region.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Transportation Hydraulics Lead in the development of strategic planning

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Ohio PE required
  • 8 years of working experience related to hydraulics engineering, water resource engineering, and permitting for transportation projects
  • 4 years Project Management experience
  • Strong leadership, planning, mentoring experience
  • Technical proficiency preparing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and reports, scour investigations, erosion and sediment control plans and reports, drainage, and stormwater management design, waterway and NPDES permitting, quantity & cost estimates, and specifications

Qualifications

  • Technical proficiency with standard drainage analysis and design packages including but not limited to AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation OpenRoads Designer, StormCAD
  • HEC-RAS 1D/2D and/or SRH-2D river modeling experience preferred
  • ArcGIS Pro and HEC-HMS experience preferred

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position is $115,010 - $164,300 per year, depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
