Transportation Engineer V

About the role

The Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA) is seeking a Transportation Engineer V to join the Office of Facilities Maintenance at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall Airport).

Responsibilities

• Managing the design, analysis, administration, review, coordination, budget (development and management) and execution of maintenance and engineering projects.
• Directing and managing engineering consultants and electrical contractors for investigations, inspections, and evaluations of existing conditions.
• Assigning projects to A/E consultants, contractors, and MAA staff based on priorities and goals.
• Participating in design, construction management, and commissioning of projects at BWI Marshall Airport and Martin State Airport (MTN).

Qualifications

• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university, five years of experience in professional engineering, involving medium voltage power systems, substations, low-voltage power distribution systems, and government infrastructure projects.
• Education: Master's degree in engineering may substitute for one year of experience.
• Licenses & Certifications: Professional Engineer, Land Surveyor, or Property Line Surveyor License may be required.
