Transportation Driver (Adult Day Center)

About the role

MENTOR Adult Day Health, a member of the Sevita family, provides day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs. This allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active and involved in the community and continuing to live in their own homes. Our programs are staffed with qualified, experienced licensed nurses and caregivers who are trained to provide individual assistance to each person we serve. Join our Adult Day Health team as a Transportation Driver, providing safe, reliable transportation for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Help participants stay connected, independent, and engaged while supporting daily activities at the center.

Location: Rainbow Terrace Adult Day Health Center, 9135 Guilford Rd, Ste 100, Columbia, MD 21046

Responsibilities

• Safely transport participants between their homes, the center, appointments, and community activities
• Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing mobility equipment
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report maintenance needs
• Support center staff with participant supervision, recreational activities, meals, and general assistance

Qualifications

• English-speaking required
• Must be at least 21 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Full, valid Maryland driver’s license held for at least 2 years
• Valid vehicle registration and insurance
• 2 years of passenger transportation or 14-passenger van/bus driving experience
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
• Dependable, compassionate, and strong communication skills

Schedule

Full-Time | 5 Days/Week | Approximately 7:00 AM–4:00 PM | Every Other Saturday Required | No evenings. No on-call shifts!
