About the role

Full-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Driver position providing daily non-medical transportation for individuals and supporting meaningful community outings at least three times per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist people with personal hygiene
• Support individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs
• Help participants develop and achieve developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition
• Take initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities
• Provide daily non-medical transportation for individuals

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license held for at least one year (post-permit)
• Clean motor vehicle record that meets Sevita’s insurability policy
• Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination (preferred)

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Akron / Portage Lakes area)
