Transportation Customer Solutions Specialist

About the role

RGL Logistics is seeking a full-time Customer Solutions Specialist within their Transportation Solutions department based in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Support customers throughout the transportation process by coordinating shipments, managing service and cost, resolving issues, and developing strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal teammates.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with teammates, customers, and carriers.
• Analyze market and internal data to effectively manage service and cost with customers and carriers.
• Skillfully quote and negotiate transportation rates while balancing customer and carrier needs with RGL’s business goals.
• Utilize available systems, tools, and resources to spot-price lanes, create shipments, schedule appointments, and support the dispatching and tracking of freight.
• Dispatch shipments to core carriers on select contracted lanes.
• Resolve transportation and customer service issues in an effective and timely manner.
• Demonstrate proactive, professional communication by phone, email, in person, and through other appropriate communication methods.
• Provide exemplary service and solutions for RGL’s current and prospective customer base to support earning the right to grow with them.
• Shift priorities quickly to support the changing business needs of RGL.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required; experience with transportation-related software is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to learn new skills quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• High initiative and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
